I have been around sports for as long as I can remember.

I grew up watching my favorite larger-than-life athletes from the upper level of old Giants Stadium. As a kid, I played every sport that my parents signed me up for, developing a deep love and understanding for athletics and competition. While my athleticism faded, my love for sports grew, and I turned a hobby into a group of social media profiles that connected more than 100,000 monthly visitors who trusted my credibility and analysis.

My love for storytelling in sports has developed into a passion for journalism. I previously served as Managing Editor of Compass News, where I reported on issues affecting SUNY Suffolk’s Ammerman campus by interviewing students, educators, and administrators. I developed skills in community engagement, news reporting, and editorial leadership, and also collaborated with our Editor-in-Chief to redesign the print editions and organize each issue. Under our leadership, Compass earned first place for Best College Newspaper at the 2026 Press Club of Long Island’s Media Awards Banquet, and I received the first-place award for Best Sports Reporting Narrative in the Student Journalism division for my story, SCCC Women’s Soccer Places 3rd in Nationals—A Program Record.

Now, I write about the intersection of society and sports, examining how sports influence people, communities, and culture through my independent Substack publication, Stollow Media. I am also a student at Marymount University, where I am strengthening the skills necessary to capture compelling moments, tell in-depth stories, and deliver accurate, ethical reporting.
